Nest Name:
ROW-07 - Sawyers Island Platform

Adult Osprey Activity Observed:
Osprey Perched

Location, Date & Time of Observation:
2021-04-24
2:30 PM to 4:30 PM
at: Rowley

Number of Adults Visible: 2

Number of Nestlings Visible:

Number of Fledglings Visible:

Weather Conditions: warm (73F), sunny, some wind

Other Activity: First, one bird was sitting on the nest (F, presumably). As the male approaches, she begins calling. He lands on nest with a fish, and they share - appear to be "chatting" with each other, and very vocal as they eat. Then one bird (I think the F) leaves nest to catch another fish, which she brings back. They share again. Then he leaves to go get another fish, which he brings back to share. I observed one preening the other, in-between these food hunting intervals.

Observation Method: On foot

General Comments: Their interactions are amazing to watch. They seem to care for each other, if not emotionally, then very literally.
