For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. General Comments: Looks like this pairs nest has failed again this year, they have not been in the nest much at all, just keep fighting with the marsh pair and checking out their nest, even landing in it. Something is going on over here, if my memory serves me right this is the 3rd year of not being successful.

Other Activity: So windy it was hard to see. Don't think any osprey on nest. Nest building may have been going on, but also whitish stuff on nest. Feathers?? I hope not. Or something they found to use in the nest? Do they do that?

Other Activity: female sitting on eggs on the nest on platform 1. Resident Male flew in with a fish and perched on platform 3 and ate some of the fish. Male then flew to the nest on platform 1 and gave the fish to the female who then flew down to perch on one on the canoe racks in the marsh below the nest. The male sat on the eggs until the female returned after feeding.
