For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: When I arrived, one OSPR perched on top rung of tower, OSPR 2 perched on nest. Shortly thereafter, top OSPR flew away and started circling above river with another adult OSPR. Eventually OSPR 3 (the one on the nest) flew away, which enabled me to zoom in for a CU of the nest, and I confirmed there are two nestlings there. Yay!

Other Activity: There was no-one on the nest. However, on the far nest, that has had no osprey all year, had two sitting on the platform. There is not much of a nest. One was sitting on the nest the other on the raised post.
