For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Neither osprey on the nest. One perched at top of camera pole and the other on the perch on the short pole. The one on the short perch flew toward the other on the camera pole but didn't land there, instead landed on the ground nearby.

Other Activity: Looks like a female osprey perched on the platform and then moved to the perch. There are some nesting materials on the platform, though not a lot.

General Comments: a friend told me that he had seen an osprey on the platform the last couple of days, so maybe we have some housekeeping activity.
