For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: We observed one adult osprey fly from the nest and fly around as we drove past. We couldn't see anyone in the nest but it is hard to see from the angle of the road.

General Comments: Hard to get a great view of the nest, but one large nestling, looks fledged or very close. Spread wings both primaries and secondaries developed. If not fledged currently this bird will be flying tomorrow / next day etc.
