Where are Osprey Nesting?

For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Hard to get a great view of the nest, but one large nestling, looks fledged or very close. Spread wings both primaries and secondaries developed. If not fledged currently this bird will be flying tomorrow / next day etc.

Other Activity: No Ospreys in sight. The marsh was still and quiet. The wading birds: egrets & GBHs were beautiful. Occasional bird song/calls.
