For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: One Osprey perched on the nest, flew off after about 10 minutes and was joined in flight by another adult osprey. Original osprey landed and perched on the nest while the other bird continued to circle the nest.

Other Activity: One osprey perched on the nest. Usually when we approach by boat the 2nd osprey would take flight and check us out but today the one osprey stayed perched on the nest almost like they were standing guard. The single osprey was making a lot of noise as we came into the creek.
