Osprey Perched

Number of Fledglings Visible:

Weather Conditions: Cloud cover, 60s, foggy

Other Activity: Early in the morning it is not unusual to see only one osprey on the platform perch. Usually after 6am, the second one shows up. The pair continue to hang together usually till dusk, moving from the platform to sharing a marsh perch. As I mentioned earlier this week, they tend to move to the marsh perch that overlooks Castle Neck River when the tide comes in. There are two marsh perches here and they sometimes split up and eat a fish on their own perch. They periodically add a stick or two to the platform. They seem content to just be together.

Observation Method: Deck
