For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

General Comments: Ollie was on the nest eating. After a while an eagle intruded & they had a mid air confrontation. Ollie chased him away & went back to eating on the nest. Later at 3:30 he was on the nest again and flew to a tree just outside our window. It looks like he might be building up the nest.

Other Activity: I've been watching on and off all day and note one osprey (male ?) mostly on the far perch, sometimes at the nest. Looking back through today's history, I noted that at 12:46 there was new nesting material on the platform. Also, around 3:15 he (?) brought and ate a fish at the far post. It seems to me that this bird looks different than Squam.
