For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Volunteers submit their sightings online, and the most recent sightings are displayed in real-time.

Other Activity: Male and female (1 on perch) looking into nest. Female has been on perch , not hunkered down on nest, flying off nest for a short time

Other Activity: Female appears to be feeding a chick---taking small bits of fish and bending over to offer the food to a chick too small to see. Male is perched on the perch on the platform and is watching the feeding very intently.

Weather Conditions: 57 degF, light to moderate wind from NE, 20% cloud cover

Other Activity: platform nest is empty, but two Osprey are perched near each other on driftwood that overhangs the water; a third Osprey flew across the same area, kept going; quite a ways west there is a platform with a triangular base - may have an Osprey, but distance and heat shimmer are a problem; the nest west of that on a platform with four legs has one Osprey perched on the post, *perhaps* a second Osprey in the nest - distance and heat shimmer a problem

Other Activity: one Oprey on post perch, preening; second Osprey down in the nest, busy doing something - can't tell if it's preening, or feeding itself, or tending to nestlings

Other Activity: one Osprey perched on upright of nest support; a second Osprey flew in and around the nest a couple of times (did not land), then flew on south; about five minutes later an Osprey flew by, heading north, carrying a fish - I don't know if it was the same individual as the second bird or not

Other Activity: do not see a second bird anywhere near this platform on the platform directly across the water: one Osprey perched on post, *perhaps* a second bird down in nest; the nest on the square structure south of that: two Osprey, but they both appear to be perched at the side of the nest; in the nest on the structure south of that one: at least one bird, *perhaps* down in the nest - distance and heat shimmer get to be a problem
