For more than 15 years, Greenbelt has been dedicated to Osprey conservation through the construction and maintenance of nesting platforms, data collection, public education, and collaborative research efforts aimed at protecting this once endangered species. Other Activity: Female Osprey perched on the nest, some soft O chirps heard, once in awhile. She stayed there my entire visit. At 3:14 the male O flew in, mated with female on the nest, then perched in the nest. At 3:23, the male flew off the nest and over my head as a third Osprey appeared , then they both soared away. The nest itself is bigger, fuller, and taller than before.

General Comments: A RT Hawk, some crows, plenty of egrets & gulls around.

Other Activity: 1 Osprey flying over the end of Island Rd. when I arrived. It did not fly over to the nest area, but off in the opposite direction. One Osprey perched on the nest the entire observation time. This nest is bigger, and definitely has been added to.

Other Activity: One was eating when we arrived, then left and retd with twig. The other remained perched on the nest.
