My most recent blog post was not entirely accurate. Today I saw Squam at the nest, as did a few other viewers who brought it to my attention. See the attached photo with squam flying off. It was a very brief visit to deliver a partial fish to one of the fledglings. I still believe the fledglings are catching their own fish because I have seen them with a live fish on the side perch, and I do not think Squam is handing off live fish.
So it appears Squam is still on the scene, caring for his 2 fledglings.
