Happening on April 22, 2017 - April 22, 2017
Are you looking for a fun, family-friendly way to help give back to the environment on Earth Day? Then we have just the activity for you! Join Greenbelt and One Heart, Infinite Pulses on Saturday April 22nd for an Earth Day clean-up and art project extravaganza as we help give back to the environment. This interactive experience will allow participants to help pick up trash and debris brought in by the tides along the Cox Reservation marsh, and then see this trash transformed into a work of art right before your eyes.
When: Saturday April 22nd, 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Where: Cox Reservation, 82 Eastern Avenue, Essex
While everybody is collecting trash, local artist Courtney Batistelli will begin sketching the outline of a mandala with sand. Once enough debris is collected, sanitized and sorted into color groups, Courtney will then begin using the trash you picked up to create this temporary mandala for all to see! While the design is taking place, you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the property or participate in a voluntary session of yoga. All ages are welcome and any participation is embraced. For more information contact Andrew.
