A Specific
Bequest
Through a "specific bequest," an individual can leave a stated sum
or percentage of cash, securities, or property to Greenbelt.
I bequeath the sum of _____ dollars

exemption # 04-2664297, 82 Eastern Avenue, Essex, MA 01929, to
be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors in its sole discretion
deems appropriate.

be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors in its sole discretion

I devise all of my right, title

01929, to be used or disposed of as its Board of Directors in
its sole discretion deems appropriate.

A Residuary Bequest
An individual may provide for Greenbelt through residuary clause
in the will, by directing that a percentage of the residuary estate
be gifted to the organization. The "residuary" or "remainder" estate
consists of all other property not specifically allocated. It may
be split among individual beneficiaries and/or nonprofit organizations.

Contingency Bequest
An individual may provide Greenbelt as a contingency beneficiary,
in the event that a primary beneficiary is no longer living.
If my husband/wife does not survive

82 Eastern Avenue, Essex, MA 01929, to be used or disposed of
as its Board of Directors in its sole discretion deems appropriate.
Designated Bequest
Any of the above types of bequests may be designated for a particular
purpose at Greenbelt. If you would like to direct the gift, simply
replace: "or as the Board of Directors in its sole discretion deems
appropriate" with "to be used or disposed for _____________", and
indicate the purpose, such as land protection, land stewardship,
or endowment.
