This reservation sits in the heart of Lanesville, which was settled in 1704 by John Lane. The Lane’s Cove Cemetery dates back to the early 18th century, and adds an interesting element to this beautiful property.

Lane’s Cove, the main public access point to Harvey Reservation, is perhaps the smallest harbor in the Northeast. With spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, Harvey Reservation is one of the best spots in Cape Ann to see the sunset.

Park by the Greenbelt sign near the breakwater
Directions:
Take Route 128 North to the first rotary (Grant Circle). Take the third exit, following a sign that reads, “Route 127-Annisquam-Pigeon Cove.” Stay on Route 127/Washington Street for 4.5 miles. You’ll enter the small village center of Lanesville. Turn left onto Duley Street and proceed down to Lane’s Cove. Stay to the left to park. The trail is on your left.
