Ideas exchanged at statewide Land Conservation gathering
Just back from a 2-day gathering of state agency and land trust conservation staff at the beautiful Harvard Forest property in Petersham, MA. Lots of great “nuts and bolts” conversations with our peers and colleagues from across the state, and some terrific presentations from folks like Hector Galbreath from the Manomet Center for Conservation Sciences and Ipswich’s own Tim Purinton, the director of the state Division of Ecological Restoration. Came back with lots of great ideas for project strategies and ways of funding land conservation. Props to the land trust staff who provided an incredible homemade pizza dinner, and to the state agency folks who prepared an awesome breakfast. Key lime french toast, anyone?
